Who is Major Events Brisbane?

Major Events Brisbane was established in July 2006 with support from Brisbane City Council and aims to work in close partnership with Queensland Events and other Queensland Government agencies involved in major events and marketing.

Since its beginning, the team has been working with government and industry to develop a major events strategy that allows Brisbane to compete more effectively in the national and international environment as a destination to host major events.

Major Events Brisbane will build on Brisbane Marketing’s objective in positioning Brisbane as a destination for business, conventions and leisure tourism. Through a balanced portfolio of events, we will also help to project Brisbane to a world-wide audience where the City is seen as a culturally diverse and creative progressive destination to visit and live.
